India is working hard to spread Covid-19

Coronavirus in India

It seems the history of 1918 pandemics will get repeated in India during ongoing Covid-19. Administration at the state level and central level have deployed all their resources and human resources for the cause. See their action, and it seems their cause is to spread the disease rather than control it.
The decision to stop all international flights from 22nd of March forced to immediately decide to fly back to India with two primary reasons:
1. The whole family is in India, and in case anything goes wrong, I will not have an option to reach India.
2. There is no business from China currently, and it is more appropriate to be with family members in the time of crisis.

I was welcomed with a shock as soon as my flight landed in India. I could see a crowd of a few hundred people, literally at a finger’s distance from each other, to submit health declaration forms. It took me nearly one and a half hours to be able to see the immigration window.

What I saw before that was, “Smoking room” was open, and people were smoking inside very carelessly.

Huge crowd at immigration counter on both the side was really shocking. When I cleared my immigration formalities, I was not handed my passport back. Now I realized why there was so much crowd on the other side of the immigration counter.
Immigration officer after clearing 20 to 25 people, takes those passports and hands over to Central Industrial Security Force officer, who in turn makes a batch (group) of those people and takes them to a special area to wait for the turn of their group for so-called “medical check-up.”
When my turn came, it was already 6 hours since I landed. One cop took me to a table that was expected to be a doctor's table. To my shock, there was not even a thermometer to check the temperature of the passengers. He asked me for the country from which I am coming and my age. I was traveling from China, and my age is 46. That was the reason for me to be under mandatory quarantine. Co-passengers with me who were younger to me were asked for self-isolation.
I had already booked my hotel room for 15 days when I started from China as I did not want to put anyone at risk if in case I am infected during travel. I told them about my intention and showed them my hotel reservation. I was told that it was compulsory for me to stay at the facilities arranged by the Government. I had the option of staying either at the free facility, which did not some essential facilities like wifi.
When staying alone, some facilities are very important to pass the time with ease and wifi is one of them. I opted for a paid facility as I did not want to lose some basic facilities during the isolation period.

Another shock was waiting for me. I was asked to travel on a bus which has a capacity of 30 people to sit, and 25 were already there. I declined to sit in that bus and was ready to bear the cost of the private vehicle, which they denied. I can understand their pressure and decided to wait until I felt comfortable to sit in the bus and finally there was a bus which had around 15 passengers, including me.

When I entered the bus and saw the seats, almost every seat had dust. I felt disappointed. I had been asking people not to be scared of the quarantine period as it was for the safety of their family and society.

How wrong I was. China was the first country to get affected, and I was there during the whole period without getting exposed t it even for a minute. Now all of a sudden, I am under threat from all sides of me.
When I reached the hotel, which was chosen for quarantine by the Government (expenses paid by the passengers), another shock, all people in the hotel were in coveralls, which was a good thing. Apart from one, all of them are cops, which is not polite.
The temporary reception area itself was not sanitized, and I was repeatedly being asked to occupy a seat. I had to lose my peace of mind to make them understand why that seat was not meant for me to use or anyone else to be used.

When I entered the hotel room, I could not see that it was sanitized. In fact, my bed contained stains of dust on it.
Nine hours at immigration and another 2 hours to reach quarantine. It has been 18 hours since I reached India, and I have still not been tested for symptoms, and I am paying to stay at a place called quarantine area, which has all the things possible to infect a person.

Let me remind the bosses of this country who are playing with the life of the second largest population in the world that history will never forgive you.
If you don’t know how to control this, take the help of experts from other countries who have done this or from the people who have been witness to it.
Take proper measures. Use the same infrastructure that you are using in the correct manner. You are spreading disease, and you should control it.
