It has borders with Yueyang and Yiyang in the north, Loudi in the west, Xiangtan, and Zhuzhou in the south and the Yichun and Pingxiang of Jiangxi part of the province in the east. Changsha is a famous historical and cultural city. It has rich traditions of craft in spite of being a major commercial, manufacturing, and transportation center of China
